ISHOTS fibers were designed for use in sprayed concrete mixes and are an excellent alternative to metallic fibers and mesh. Even in larger doses, ISHOTS fibers do not create sediment, and do not clog or create wear in pumps.

iSHOTS fi bers‘ main features are:

  • corrosion, acid, mould resistance
  • higher durability; iSHOTS fi bers are not subject to loss of workability and lend a superior performance
       once mixed with concrete
  • no hygroscope; do not alter water/cement ratio
  • no waterproof sheets puncturing
  • does not attract electromagnetic radiation, does not produce sparks and reduces eddy currents
  • positive anti-spalling effect in the event of fi re (cfr. CNR-DT 204/06)
  • easy handing, freight and stocking
  • electromagnetically inert
  • safe work place for manpower

    • iSHOTS fibers satisfy the requirements set forth by Standard UNI EN 14889-2 for structural use in concrete.

    Dosages can vary from 1.5 to 5 kg/mc according to the type of performance required in the shotcrete. Normally 3.5 kg/mc of ISHOTS fibers obtain 500 J of dissipated energy on a plate test at 28 days, allowing substitution of 25/30 kg/mc of metallic fibers. iSHOTS fibers were used for tunnel pre-covering phases in the most important Italian roads.

    They are available in three different sizes (29/39/49 mm) according to the type of application being used.
